Bruce Kueffner

Director, Class of 2025

Bruce Kueffner

After graduating from Colby College in 1968 with a BA in psychology, I served in the US Navy. Afterwards, I was the general manager for a trading company in Guam which did business with military exchanges throughout the Pacific; subsequently I was appointed Director of Operations in Tokyo for Koss, a premier American manufacturer of audio products, which we imported directly into Japan.

After returning to the United States, I spent over 25 years in the water utility business with Schlumberger & Neptune Water Meter Company, as business development manager. My responsibilities involved working with senior management of municipal and investor owned utilities to develop and implement computer based, high tech automated meter reading systems.

I have been a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Fairfield for more than 35 years. During that time, I have served two terms on the Vestry, have been Chairman of St. Paul’s Nursey School Board for ten years, taught Sunday school for many years, and for over thirty years have coordinated the Memorial Day Parade Pancake Breakfast on the Town Green.

I grew up in Fairfield, where my family and I sailed at Pequot Yacht Club and have continued to be a member. Recently I have held various board and committee positions and served as Commodore. During the summer, I continue to race with Kim Taylor, my companion for twenty-five years, on Vigor, my 38’ X-Yacht.

My daughter Elizabeth is widowed. She and my two grandchildren live in Fairfield.
